While everyone can benefit from eating plant based foods, most tend to forget that animals eat greens also. Cows and other livestock that are fed with grass and few grains are better than meat products that are mass produced in a factory. If anyone wants to get more nutrients and antioxidants from their food, they may want to try allnatural grass fed beef and poultry.

Not a Food Trend

This is not a trend in food culture, as cows and other farm animals had a diet based mostly on grass and things that grew from the earth. When manufacturers found they could make a similar product for less, the quality declined. Most cows were forced to eat things that were not healthy. Unfortunately, the consumer began to suffer as well.

As time passed, more people began to shun dairy and animal products for this and other reasons. Although there are many benefits to not eating meat, such as rapid weight loss, most vegetarians find they are lacking nutrients. Even if a person has to lose a lot of weight for health reasons, nutritious value plays a large part in how the excess weight stays off.

It is becoming common knowledge is that if a person wants to lose weight, they have to eat real food. Over the years, consumers have been subjected to bizarre eating habits that claim to help them drop the pounds. The problem is often that the loss is temporary and the person might as well have gone on a crash diet, since the excess eventually returns.

The ideal behind having a balanced meal is getting the correct amount of nutrients. Often when people cut calories, they find they lack energy but eating right results in natural energy. Instead of taking a lot of products filled with caffeine and ingredients that may not be safe, iron and vitamins found in protein help build stamina.

Convenience is the Key

Grass fed products are rich in flavor and really do not need a lot in the way of preparation. One could cover one small portion side with a beef or poultry rub before placing inside a heated pan. For the person who does not consider themselves a culinary genius may go with garlic salt and ground peppercorn. Anyone can have a hearty meal that is low in fat after a long day at the job.

Just a simple pan sear or a few minutes in a convection oven is ideal after working long hours. One thing that holds true is that this is a healthier alternative to eating fast food. Preparing a steak or chicken breast is easy for anyone who does not consider themselves a cook.

Although some may not care to pay more at the grocer, those who have converted to grass fed foods say the quality is worth it. Even better, these foods not only taste good but contain enough nutrients and antioxidants to help fight off diseases. Health care professionals even recommend natural foods like this for more vitality.
